Pearson has released the new version of their Canvas integration (LTI 1.3) for MyLab & Mastering (MLM) and Revel. More details about the transition will be provided as they become available.
The timeline for this transition is outlined here:
-
Before April 30, you can create/link MLM courses to Canvas through the old LTI 1.1 integration as usual.
-
You should record your Pearson username and password in a safe place (see below for steps). This will allow you to seamlessly reconnect to your Pearson account once the LTI 1.3 integration is enabled on June 18.
-
Encourage your students to record their Pearson username and password in a safe place in case they need to use Pearson in a future course at OSU
-
On April 30, no new MLM courses can be created/linked to Canvas through the old LTI 1.1 integration.
-
You will have full functionality in MLM courses created/linked to Canvas prior to April 30.
-
Faculty teaching in summer term will need to wait until June 18 to set up their Pearson content.
-
On June 18, the new LTI 1.3 integration (called “Access Pearson”) will be enabled.
-
You will need to use your documented Pearson username and password to reconnect to your Pearson account.
-
You will be able to create/link MLM or Revel courses in Canvas through the new LTI 1.3 integration.
-
You will have access to all previous content in your Pearson account.
All faculty and students who want to continue accessing their existing Pearson account through Canvas at Oregon State University should ensure they know their Pearson account username and password. You can locate your Pearson account username with the following steps:
