The Learn@OregonState Advisory Committee guides the design, implementation and development of the Learn@OregonState ecosystem in alignment with OSU’s strategic goals. The committee’s charter is to review, evaluate and prioritize proposed changes to the Learn@OregonState platform. Evaluation criteria are based on impact to learners, instructors and data, as well as potential legal, technical, FERPA and disability access issues.
The Learn@OregonState Advisory Committee works in partnership with a standing team called the Learn@OregonState Task Force. This team works directly with tools in the platform; they meet bi-weekly throughout the year to review new features, upgrades, integrations, user communication and support, vendor relationships and product management, and ongoing evaluation and assessment of current and new learning tools.
As of June 30 2022, Oregon State University is no longer a member of the Unizin consortium. As part of this departure, the MyLA student-facing learning analytics pilot was canceled and the MyLA tool was removed from Canvas courses involved in the pilot.
Older courses in Canvas are automatically archived each year at the end of spring term. Since implementing the archiving process in September 2021, about 183,000 courses have been archived from 22 past terms and 132 requests from faculty to unarchive course sites have been processed.

This integration provides an institutional accessibility report for all Canvas course sites and also provides course-level accessibility reports and tools for faculty. The Ally tools primarily focus on improving accessibility of and providing alternative formats for uploaded files.
The Ed Discussion tool was added to the Electrical Engineering & Computer Science and Engineering Science Ecampus subaccounts.
The Gradescope integration was updated from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3 standards. This change primarily improves privacy and data security of the tool.
The Kaltura integration was updated from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3 standards. This change primarily improves privacy and data security of the tool.
The Microsoft Teams integration was added to Canvas. This integration allows faculty to automatically provision a Microsoft Team with a synced roster from their Canvas course site.
The Peerceptiv developer key was modified to allow group functionality. Faculty use Peerceptiv to enable peer-review and assessment of a variety of assignment types.
As of June 2022, the Qualtrics integration has been used by about 12,000 unique users. Qualtrics was integrated with Canvas in January 2021.
The Zoom integration was updated from LTI 1.1 to LTI 1.3 standards. This change primarily improves privacy and data security of the tool.

UIT Academic Technologies performed a significant update to the “Add TA” as a result of findings from a Gender Mag review session.
